Please read these Terms carefully
MasjidMap is a community map. Places, facilities and photos are added by users and by us, and they can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. A place may have moved, closed, changed its hours or be open only to some people. Check before you travel, and never use the App in a way that distracts you while driving. MasjidMap is not affiliated with any masjid, mosque association or religious authority.
Contributions must follow our content rules (Clause 9), and we do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. These Terms include disclaimers and limitations of our liability (Clauses 16 and 17) and set out how disputes are resolved (Clause 19). Nothing in these Terms affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
1.1 MasjidMap (the "App") and the MasjidMap pages of the website at assistlyai.space (the "Website") are provided by the individual developer who operates under the trade name Assistly AI ("Assistly AI", "we", "us" or "our"). The App, the Website and every feature, map listing and service made available through them are together the "Service".
1.2 You can contact us about anything in these Terms, including complaints, reports of content, legal notices and requests to delete your account, by email at karadumanburak000@gmail.com. If you have an account, please write from the email address linked to it, or tell us that address, so that we can find it.
2. These Terms and when they apply
2.1 These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Assistly AI. They apply whenever you download, open or use the Service, whether or not you have signed in.
2.2 Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information. It forms part of these Terms.
2.3 Google's terms. The Service uses Google Maps Platform features, including Google Places search. By using the Service, you agree to be bound by Google's Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service, which include the Google Terms of Service, and you acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy.
2.4 By using the Service you confirm that you have read, understood and accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, you must not use the Service.
3. Who may use the Service
3.1 You may use the Service if you are at least 13 years old.
3.2 If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live if that is higher, you may sign in and contribute only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. If you are under 16, or under the age of digital consent where you live, your parent or guardian must agree before you sign in.
3.3 You must not use the Service where doing so is prohibited by the law that applies to you, or if we have previously banned you from it.
4. Your account
4.1 Guest account. When you first open the App, we create a guest account for your installation, so that the App can connect to our servers. You do not need to give us your name or email address to browse the map. A guest account that has never been signed in is deleted automatically after 1 year without any activity.
4.2 Signing in. To add a place, a photo or facilities, or to confirm or report a place, you must sign in with Google, or, on iPhone, with Apple or Google. Your use of those sign-in services is also governed by Google's or Apple's own terms.
4.3 On-device data. Your saved places and recent searches are stored on your device only. They are not backed up by us, and they may be lost if you delete the App, reset your device or lose it.
4.4 Security. You are responsible for keeping your device and your Google or Apple account secure, and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
4.5 One person, one account. Accounts are personal. You must not share, sell or transfer your account, or use several accounts to confirm your own contributions, get around a ban or otherwise mislead other users.
5. How MasjidMap works
5.1 Community information. The Service shows masjids, prayer rooms and related places, with their facilities, photos and contact details. This information comes from users, from us and from third-party sources. We review contributions and act on reports, but we do not visit or inspect places, and we cannot check every listing.
5.2 Confirmations and labels. A confirmation means that a signed-in user has said a listing is correct. A confirmation count, a "verified" label or any similar indicator reflects the information available to us at a point in time. It is not a guarantee that a place exists, is open, offers a facility or is suitable for you.
5.3 Access to places. Each place is run by its own operator, who decides who may enter, when, and on what conditions. Prayer rooms in shopping centres, airports, workplaces, universities, hospitals, rest stops and similar places may be open only to customers, staff, students or travellers, or only during certain hours. Our listing a place does not give you any right to enter it.
5.4 Search, maps and directions. Search suggestions are provided by Google. Maps are provided by Google on Android and by Apple on iPhone. Directions open in a separate navigation app. Distances shown in the App are approximate. Routes, traffic, road closures and local conditions are your responsibility to check.
5.5 No religious guidance. The Service is a directory of places. It does not give religious rulings or guidance, and it does not endorse any place, community, school of thought or organisation listed on it.
6. Your safety and respect for places of worship
6.1 Do not use the App in a way that distracts you while driving, cycling or walking in traffic. Set your destination before you set off, follow traffic laws and road signs, and pay attention to your surroundings at all times.
6.2 Use your own judgement about whether a place, a route or an area is safe, especially at night and in places you do not know.
6.3 When you visit a place, follow its rules and the instructions of the people who run it. Respect worshippers, prayer times and the privacy of people inside. Do not take or upload photos inside a place where photography is not allowed.
7. Your contributions
7.1 What counts. Places, descriptions, addresses, locations, contact details, facilities, photos, confirmations and reports that you submit are your "Contributions".
7.2 They are public. Except for reports, your Contributions are published on the Service and can be seen, saved and shared by anyone. Your name, email address and profile picture are not shown with them. Our Privacy Policy explains what is visible.
7.3 Ownership and licence. You keep any rights you have in your Contributions. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example to resize photos or correct and combine listings), publish, display and distribute your Contributions, in any media, for the purpose of operating, improving and promoting the Service.
7.4 How long the licence lasts. Facts about places, such as a place's name, type, location, address, contact details and facilities, become part of a shared map that other users rely on. Our licence to them is perpetual and irrevocable, and they stay on the map, without any link to you, if you delete your account. Our licence to your photos ends when you or we delete them, except for copies in backups for the limited time described in the Privacy Policy.
7.5 Your promises. For each Contribution you promise that:
- it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and describes a real place that is open to the public or to the group it says it serves;
- you took any photo yourself, or you have the right to upload it and to grant the licence in Clause 7.3;
- it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights; and
- it complies with Clause 9 and with the law.
7.6 Editing and removal. We may review, edit, combine, hide or remove any Contribution, for example to correct errors, merge duplicates, enforce these Terms, respond to a report or comply with the law. We are not obliged to publish or keep any Contribution, and we will not pay you for it.
7.7 Feedback. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without restriction or payment to you.
8. Places, their operators and rights holders
8.1 If you run or represent a listed place and want its information corrected, or believe it should not be listed, for example because it is a private home or a space not open to the public, email us under Clause 1.2 with the place's name and location and explain your connection to it. We will consider your request promptly and act where it is reasonable.
8.2 If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, email us with: your contact details; a description of the work and of your rights; where the content appears in the Service; a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised; and a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We will remove infringing content and may close the accounts of repeat infringers.
9. Content rules
9.1 We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You must not submit, and must not use the Service to promote, anything that:
- is false, misleading or deliberately inaccurate, including fake places, duplicates made on purpose, or wrong locations, hours or facilities;
- is hateful, harassing, threatening or discriminatory, or attacks people on the basis of religion, sect, school of thought, ethnicity, nationality, gender or any other characteristic, including content that insults or labels another community's place of worship;
- incites or glorifies violence or terrorism, or relates to an organisation designated as terrorist;
- is sexually explicit or obscene, or sexualises or endangers children in any way;
- shows identifiable people, especially worshippers or children, without their consent, or contains anyone's personal information, such as a private phone number or home address;
- is advertising, spam, a fundraising or donation request, or a link to unrelated content;
- infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights, including photos copied from other websites or apps; or
- is unlawful, or encourages anyone to break the law.
9.2 Reporting. You can report a listing with the Report option on its page in the App, or by email under Clause 1.2. We review reports, and we aim to act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours by removing the content and, where appropriate, removing the user who submitted it.
10. Acceptable use of the Service
10.1 You must use the Service lawfully and responsibly. In particular, you must not:
- copy, scrape, harvest or extract map data, photos or other content from the Service in bulk, by automated means or otherwise, or use it to build or train a competing product, database or AI model;
- submit Contributions, confirmations or reports by automated means, or in coordinated campaigns to manipulate listings;
- use the Service to collect information about other users, or to track, monitor or target any place of worship or the people who attend it;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where the law expressly allows it;
- circumvent or interfere with security features, rate limits or access controls, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or account; or
- introduce malware, overload the Service, or disrupt its use by others.
11. Third-party services and links
11.1 The Service relies on third parties, including the app stores, Google, Apple and our hosting provider. Their services are outside our control and are subject to their own terms. Maps, search suggestions, addresses and directions supplied by them may contain errors.
11.2 Listings may include phone numbers and links to third-party websites. We do not control, endorse or take responsibility for them, and your use of them is governed by the third party's own terms.
12. Intellectual property
12.1 The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, the MasjidMap name and logo, and the selection and arrangement of the map database, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Map imagery and search results remain the property of Google, Apple and their licensors. Contributions remain subject to Clause 7.
12.2 Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, and to use the Service, for your own non-commercial purposes. No other right is granted to you.
13. Price
13.1 The Service is free and has no ads. If we ever introduce paid features, we will tell you in advance and show the price and terms in the App before you buy. Nothing will be charged without your express agreement.
14. Availability and changes to the Service
14.1 We work to keep the Service available and its information useful, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, or available in every country or language. It may be unavailable during maintenance or because of events beyond our reasonable control.
14.2 We may change, add or remove features, data sources and providers from time to time. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice where we can.
15. Suspension, termination and deleting your account
15.1 Your right to stop. You may stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account in the App or by emailing us under Clause 1.2. Our Delete your account page explains what is removed and what stays on the map under Clause 7.4.
15.2 Our right to suspend or end your access. We may remove your Contributions, and suspend or terminate your ability to sign in or contribute, if you breach these Terms, if your use creates a risk of harm to you, others or the Service, or if we are required to do so by law. Where it is reasonable and lawful, we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to respond. For serious or repeated breaches of Clause 9 we may act immediately and without notice.
15.3 Clauses 7.3, 7.4, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 22, and any other terms that by their nature are meant to continue, survive the end of these Terms.
16. Disclaimers
16.1 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE, ITS MAP DATA AND ALL CONTRIBUTIONS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". WE MAKE NO WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION OR GUARANTEE, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, THAT ANY PLACE EXISTS, IS OPEN, IS ACCESSIBLE TO YOU OR OFFERS ANY FACILITY, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION, LOCATION, DISTANCE OR DIRECTION IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT OR SAFE, AND WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
16.2 CONTRIBUTIONS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE USERS WHO SUBMIT THEM AND DO NOT REPRESENT OUR VIEWS. ANY RELIANCE YOU PLACE ON THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
16.3 Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded. In those jurisdictions, this Clause applies only to the extent the law allows, and nothing in it limits the statutory rights you have as a consumer.
17. Limitation of liability
17.1 What we do not exclude. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for loss caused by our intent or gross negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including Article 115 of the Turkish Code of Obligations (Law No. 6098).
17.2 SUBJECT TO CLAUSE 17.1 AND TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE LOSS, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, TIME OR GOODWILL, OR FOR ANY WASTED JOURNEY, MISSED PRAYER, DELAY OR TRAVEL COST, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE, ANY CONTRIBUTION OR THESE TERMS, OR FOR THE CONDUCT OF ANY USER, PLACE OPERATOR OR THIRD PARTY.
17.3 SUBJECT TO CLAUSE 17.1, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM AND (B) FIFTY UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD 50) OR ITS EQUIVALENT IN YOUR LOCAL CURRENCY.
18. Indemnity
18.1 To the extent permitted by applicable law, and except where you use the Service as a consumer in a jurisdiction that does not permit such an obligation, you agree to compensate us for reasonable losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from claims by third parties that result from your breach of these Terms or from your Contributions.
19. Governing law and disputes
19.1 Talk to us first. If you have a complaint, please contact us under Clause 1.2 so that we can try to resolve it. We aim to respond within 30 days.
19.2 Governing law. These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules.
19.3 Courts. Subject to Clauses 19.4 and 19.5, the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul (Central), Türkiye, have jurisdiction over any such dispute.
19.4 Consumers in Türkiye. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Law on Consumer Protection (Law No. 6502) and its implementing regulations. Depending on the value of the dispute, you may apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee (Tüketici Hakem Heyeti), or bring proceedings, subject to any mandatory mediation, before the Consumer Court (Tüketici Mahkemesi) where you live or where the transaction took place.
19.5 Consumers elsewhere. If you are a consumer resident outside Türkiye, the choice of Turkish law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that country where its law allows.
20. App store terms
20.1 Google Play. If you downloaded the App from Google Play, your use of Google Play is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not responsible for the App or its content.
20.2 Apple. If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you and we acknowledge that:
- these Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"), and we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content;
- your licence to use the App is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App;
- if the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) of the App to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App;
- we, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation;
- in the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim;
- you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- you must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the App; and
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, once you accept them, Apple will have the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
21. Changes to these Terms
21.1 We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service or to the law. We will post the updated Terms on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we will give you reasonable notice before it takes effect, normally at least 15 days, through the App or another appropriate means.
21.2 If you continue to use the Service after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply to you. If you do not agree to a change, you must stop using the Service, and you may delete your account.
22. General
22.1 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
22.2 Severability. If a court or authority finds any provision of these Terms invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
22.3 No waiver. If we do not enforce a right under these Terms straight away, we have not waived it and may still enforce it later.
22.4 Transfer. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another person or organisation, for example if the Service is sold, provided that this does not reduce your rights. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent.
22.5 Events outside our control. We are not responsible for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of our providers or of the app stores.
22.6 Notices. We may give you notices through the App, on the Website or, if you have signed in, by email to the address linked to your account. You may give us notices by email under Clause 1.2.
22.7 Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version prevails in the event of any inconsistency, except where the law that applies to you requires otherwise.
